“I Got This” & Other Life Disasters in the Book of Judges.


In those days there was no king in Israel. Everyone did what was right in his own eyes. — Judges 21:25 (ESV)


“I got this” is such a common phrase.  While most of the time we utter it in innocence, it actually is a simple statement of our own rulership.  “I got this” reveals we want to be our own kings.

Our desire to rule ourselves is more dangerous than we know.  It was the “I got this” attitude that was the center of a tragic time period in the Old Testament book of Judges.  God’s people were constantly telling God they wanted to rule themselves.

Beginning March 1st, we are taking a six week journey into attitudes like “I got this” that set us up for life disasters as we explore the life-changing message of the book of the Bible.
