True Joy comes from putting God first as we serve Him and live for Him with all of our heart, soul, and strength. Loving God and loving others should be a priority in our lives. Through Haggai, God reminded the Jewish people to make Him a priority in their lives. When we choose to put God and others first we will experience real joy.

The last two weeks we have discussed the reality of conflict and disagreement as well as the significance of treating others with godly care and justice. Today’s lesson focuses on forgiveness and the importance of relying on God’s justice above our own. God’s very nature is caring and loving; therefore, we must follow His example of forgiveness.

Micah shared God’s message for His people to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with Him. It matters to God how we treat others! We need to STOP and THINK about how to treat others and treat them how we would like to be treated.
